This project involved two phases of work to Candleby Lane School in Cotgrave. The first phasre involved the creation of a new farm enabling the school to increase the variety of animals that they are able keep, as well as creating a teaching space for children, parents and the local community. The design of the farm was specifically developed to create an area that could be cared for by the children. The farm is easily cleaned and a safe environment which allows them to be fully involved in the day to day activities on the farm.
The phase two work saw the creation of a new growing space, providing the school with the opportunity to grow their own vegetables and learn about the importance of healthy living.
The new facilities have provided the children and surrounding community with a hands on and exciting environment in which to learn.
