Lees Hill Park

 Lees Hill Park

Groundwork Greater Nottingham worked in partnership with the local Police, Sneinton Tenants and Residents Association and Nottingham City Council, to transform a difficult, underused and unsafe space located in a densely populated residential area into a new community play facility.

The site was small, challenging and suffered from anti-social behaviour. Consultation took place which enabled local children and residents to be involved, this created a greater sense of ownership and pride for the area, increased use of the park, and has helped to reduce anti-social behaviour.

Construction of new retaining walls, play equipment, seating and paths were integrated into the landscape to create an innovative, exciting and much needed outdoor community space.
