Lambley Playground

 Lambley Playground

An existing play area close to Lambley Primary School contained facilities which were in disrepair and needed upgrading. The area frequently became wet and muddy, making it unusable and inaccessible. Local school children were consulted about what they would like to see on the site, and the results helped to form designs and proposals for the area.

An exciting and interactive play facility was designed for children aged between 3 -11. Within this, two new playground areas were created, one aimed at 3-6 year olds and one at 6-11 year olds. An area for natural play was also created with adventure trails, mounds and challenging timber climbing equipment.

The rural location of the play area determined the choice of materials, and where possible timber products were used in the scheme to create a more informal and natural playscape.
