Cator Lane Recreation Ground

Cator Lane Recreation Ground

This project involved the creation of a new access footpath, installation of a new football and basketball goal end, new areas of seating and bins, and areas of native tree planting and wildflower species.

Working in partnership with Broxtowe Borough Council, Groundwork consulted local residents and schools about the project. The local community were given the opportunity to be involved in discussions about the layout and proposals.

Two local schools, representatives from Nottinghamshire County Council and Broxtowe Borough Council were invited to attend a planting session on the site to celebrate the completion of the project. During this event, 61 native tree whips were planted, as well as 7 larger native trees and an area of native wildflowers.
